Dieter Zümpel appointed Chief Sales Officer at DERTOUR Group Hotel Division

The experienced tourism manager Dieter Zümpel returns to DERTOUR Group in a new role. With immediate effect, he takes over as Chief Sales Officer for the hotel division of DERTOUR Group and will report directly to Karl J. Pojer, CEO Hotel Division DERTOUR Group. The hotel division comprises of 10 brands, including Aldiana, Sentido and Playitas, with over 100 hotels in 14 countries.

A key focus of his work will be to further strengthen the collaboration with the DERTOUR Group tour operator brands and to further develop cross-brand strategies. “With his extensive experience in tourism, Dieter Zümpel will work closely with our dedicated team to further develop our core brands. This will strengthen our hotel division and help us to continue to grow sustainably”, says Pojer. “I am very happy that we could bring Dieter on board to join our team. I already know Dieter from a previous collaboration and highly value his touristic competence and outstanding sales expertise.”

Dieter Zümpel has 28 years of experience in tourism and successfully led DER Touristik Suisse (previously Kuoni) as CEO. In this position, he was responsible for the integration in the DERTOUR Group, achieved a market-leading position in the Swiss market and built a strong tour operator and distribution team. After his return to Germany, Zümpel supported DERTOUR Group in an advisory capacity.
