Effective January 1, 2025, Patrick Lambertz will join DERTOUR Group from the REWE Group and take over the role of CFO Group from Boris Schnabel. In this position, he will report to Lionel Souque, CEO of the REWE Group. As a member of the Executive Board of DERTOUR Group, he will form the operational leadership team of the international tourism group with over 10,000 employees, together with Dr. Ingo Burmester, CEO Central Europe, and Leif Vase Larsen, CEO International. Boris Schnabel, who will hand over his role to Lambertz at the end of the year, is leaving the company at his own request to pursue his own entrepreneurial activities at his long-time residence in Vienna.

Patrick Lambertz has been working in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of REWE Group Holding since 2016. Since 2022, he has been responsible for this area as Group Director M&A & Investment Management and has managed corporate transactions for all business units. In this role, Lambertz has closely accompanied the growth of the DERTOUR Group in recent years and has led various acquisitions. These include the acquisition of Fischer Reisen in the Czech Republic, as well as numerous acquisitions in the Hotel Division, which has grown significantly recently. Before joining the REWE Group, Lambertz held various positions in the Corporate Finance department of the BASF Group, most recently as Project Manager M&A.

“I am pleased that Patrick Lambertz, an extremely dynamic and experienced leader, is taking on a key management role within the DERTOUR Group. Through his previous work, he is highly familiar with the financial metrics and market environment in the tourism sector. This makes him ideally suited to further drive the ambitious growth course of our tourism division, in close collaboration with Dr. Ingo Burmester and Leif Vase Larsen,” says Lionel Souque, CEO of the REWE Group.

“At the same time, I would like to thank Boris Schnabel for his long-standing commitment. This includes, in particular, the important strategic decisions and acquisitions during the pandemic. As well as the realignment of the Group following the corona crisis, which has contributed to the current success of DERTOUR Group,” Souque continued. Schnabel joined DERTOUR Group (then still DER Touristik) from Metro Cash & Carry in 2016 and took on the role of Group CFO. He has been a member of the Group’s Executive Board since 2023.
